How much will my project cost?
This is always a difficult question to answer because, although there are average build costs for certain types of projects, every project is different. The scope of work is tailored to each client’s individual requirements, so no two projects are really the same. There is also a wide range of builders and levels of service available. Some operate on a more basic, cost-focused basis, while others, like us, provide a more comprehensive, higher-quality and tailored service. Naturally, the level of service and specification you choose will have an impact on the overall cost. At our initial meeting, we will usually provide some rough guide costs to give you a realistic ballpark figure. Once we have a complete plans package - including the final architectural drawings and structural calculations - we can then work through the details and provide a much more accurate build cost. Our aim is to give you a clear understanding of the likely cost as early as possible, while ensuring that the final quotation properly reflects the project you actually want to build.
How long does a renovation project usually take?
Timelines depend on the project size, scope and material availability. After the first review, clients receive a clearer project timeline.
What areas do you cover?
Based in Hove and serving Brighton, Portslade, Shoreham-by-Sea, Southwick, Worthing and surrounding areas of East Sussex. We generally work within around a 30-minute drive of Brighton, although we are happy to discuss projects further afield.

We specialise in loft conversions, house extensions, structural alterations and kitchen renovations, as well as wider residential renovation and refurbishment projects.
Do you manage the whole project from start to finish?
Yes. We take a hands-on approach to project management, keeping the build organised and making the process as straightforward as possible for our clients. One point of contact throughout - direct communication with the ACS team from the initial conversation through to completion. Trusted trades and professionals - we coordinate the experienced, fully insured tradespeople involved in your project. Clear communication and coordination - we keep everyone working to the same plan and address issues quickly when they arise. Smooth, efficient delivery - careful planning and coordination help keep your project moving and minimise unnecessary delays. Our aim is simple: take the complexity out of your building project while maintaining the quality and attention to detail ACS is known for.
Can you work with my architect or structural engineer?
Absolutely. We regularly work alongside clients’ own architects, structural engineers and other professionals involved in a project. We can work from existing plans and specifications, coordinate with your professional team throughout the build, and help ensure the work is delivered smoothly and to the agreed requirements. If you don't have an architect or structural engineer yet, we can also recommend trusted professionals where appropriate.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We have full public liability insurance and produce these documents prior to the project starting.
